Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill

November 25, 2024

For our anniversary dinner we went to Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill. For around 20 years both Michelle & I were fans of Hell's Kitchen. We watched a lot of the episodes, come to find out there are 22 seasons. That's a lot! I also love watching Gordon Ramsay's UK show Boiling Point back in the early 2000s. They have the entire season on Youtube. One of the Gordon's Signature Dish is his Roasted Beef Wellington. If you watch his Youtube video he explains in great detail how he prepares and cooks it (Beef Wellington Video). It looks to be not only a long process, but it does take a lot of skill to pull off.

Earlier in the day, I reserved a table for 2 at Gordon Ramsay's Pub & Grill in Cesears Palace. We were staying at The Linq hotel and it was about a 10 minute walk to Cesears Palace. Initially we had a hard time finding the place, but I remember seeing it the last time we in Vegas in 2015. We were early so, we stayed near the restaurant and gambled for 30 minutes. Michelle won $100 during that time. She wanted to gamble more but I got a text that our table was ready. They sat us in a small table like a lounge type set up. This was great because they also have the high table and chairs which Michelle doesn't like. The atmosphere is not fine dining like, but expect to pay over $200 for your meal. The dress was casual, but some customers wore shirt and shorts.

Our waiter took some time to greet us. I'd say at least 10 minutes maybe less. His name was Aria (I think). We both ordered a glass of wine. The wine was expensive $23 per glass. Michelle ordered the 3 course meal which came with a cesear salad, beef wellington, and sticky toffee pudding. I ordered an ale onion soup and the braised short rib. (Yelp Reivew)

Cesear Salad - Refreshing salad

Onion Ale Soup - Strong broth flavor

Gordon Ramsay's Signature Dish

Beef Wellington - The meat was soft. The mushroom and prosciutto lacked flavor. Maybe it was lost during the cooking process. The sauce was sweet/tart and paired well with the Wellington.

Beef Braised Short Rib  with Cabbage and Mash Potato

This was the best meal in my opinion. The short rib was so soft and the fat rendered so you could only taste the flavor. The cabbage was so soft. I have to learn how to make cabbage like that. The mash potatoes were the best I've ever eaten. It was soft, rich, creamy and went well with the gravy

Sticky Toffee Pudding - another one of Gordon Ramsay's Signature Dish

I thought the Sticky Toffee Pudding would be rich, but it wasn't . It was sweet but not too sweet. The ice cream balanced it out. That toffee sauce was almost perfect. I would have liked it more salty to contrast the cake and ice cream. The cake was very light, it had a sponge cake consistency.

I would love to go back to the Pub and Grill again. The bill was $205 and I tipped our waiter $50 for good service. The total was $255. I was amazed at the communication between the waiter, busser, expediter. It was very seamless. Its like they all knew their role and executed it very well.
