Snow

Snow

I haven’t felt snow before, nor have many of the other students. The weather forecast projected 7-10 inches of snow, which would be awesome! Snow came down on Sunday evening and continued into the night. On Monday morning, we had near 7.5 inches of snow. From our hotel window, we could see the snow plows pushing the snow aside. I didn’t know this which is somewhat shame, but you can’t make snowman with fresh powder, the snow needs to harden to make a snowman or even a solid snowball.

After our Smithsonian visits, we found a park where the kids could play with the snow. The students made snow angels and snowballs. The very next day, the snow was harder, it was time to make snowman’s. Out of all the experiences on the trip, the kids may remember this one the most. Better yet, it was free.
