Harvard and MIT
Friday was a day off for most of us. My mom and dad were going to the game at night, so the rest of us had a free day.
There were options today, but we just chose to go to Harvard and MIT. Jared didn't want to go, he wanted to stay with my dad.
Jessica ordered an Uber for us. The Uber system is amazing. It is very user friendly, although since I don't have a phone plan right now, I'm at a disadvantage, but I do have the Uber app.
Visiting Harvard wasn't interesting at all, it seemed like any other college to me. There were lots of tourist when we arrived. Although there were some attractions, nothing stood out. I was tempted to sit in a classroom to see what it was all about, but I would get into trouble I think. We stumbled upon the Mark I, and old computer built by a Harvard professor. We spent 45 minutes looking for a Harvard sign, but Jessica read that a sign did not exist.
We got tired and Jessica got an Uber to take us to MIT. MIT was a little better. There was a row of buildings that looked unique. We even went in one of them called cognitive psychology, but nothing exciting was inside. Time was limited because we needed to get mom back in time for the game. Our last stop was the MIT museum. This was rather interesting. On the bottom level, MIT students were explaining their projects to us. One was on synthetic biology where they would create organs. The second floor was about some projects on engineering and art.
The best part of the day was a lunch at this cafe. The discussion we had was so amazing. The food was cheap here. We had such a great time chatting it up. I was a little drunk from my beer, which made it more better. I don't have any pictures of us in there, but believe that was a highlight of our trip.
