Ibajay
Ibajay - September 24, 2017
Our last full day to explore was in Ibajay. We did go here last time. There isn't too much. It is not a tourist town and it shows. There is a lot of basic supplies in the small strip mall. We waited for Kikito to wake up. In Spain, they wake up late and go to sleep late. That is their culture. King and I hung out in the front of the house for a few hours waiting for Kikito to get ready. We packed the truck and headed off. Lucky King had a truck or else I don't know how we would get around.
There is really no parking for trucks only the trikes. King decided to park at the church. We walked the 1/2 mile over to the strip mall. On the way, we saw a massage place. That is awesome I thought. I needed a massage. Kikito said he was going to meet his friend. King and I walked over the the 7-11. I was looking for souveiners. Selection was limited, but I did find an umbrella that had a flashlight attached to it. I thought that was pretty cool. I ended up buying 4 umbrellas. As the cashier lady rung me up, the cost appeared too pricey even for me, rich American. But I took out the 1,700 pesos and the cashier seemed amazed that I took out so much money.
After 7-11, King and I walked over to the street food vendor to buy siopao. The bun was so soft, but it wasn't as sweet as I anticipated. I like bao better. But I guess this is in my roots, so I'd have to give it a few tries.
King and I hung out on the 2nd level watching the trikes go by. We just walked around for 30 minutes. We saw Kikito and hung with him. Kikito said his friend wasn't able to make it. We decided to all do a massage.
As we entered, the lady seemed startled by our presence. She quickly called the massage therapist to come over because there was customers. It took them awhile, but we all got in.
The massage was good, I needed it. The bad thing was the nasty oil they use. It makes you feel oily. I guess we were celebreties because we took a picture with all the therapist after.
