The Mob Museum

The Mob Museum

This wasn’t here the last time I went in 2009. During that time, I really wanted to research possible casinos and hotels in which the mob owned and operated. My research yielded me with nothing interesting.

Three years later, they opened this museum. I was so happy! Located in Downtown Vegas near the California Hotel, it was expensive to get in, $22 per adult. But today was their three year anniversary, it was buy 1, get 1 free. We saved $22!

It was packed today and we felt very uncomfortable while walking through the exhibits, we felt rushed.

The museum like any museum is quite boring, you really have to get yourself up to enjoy a museum. We started on the third floor and worked our way down.

One interesting piece of history was the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre Wall. The real wall is here in the museum with all the blood stains. They also had an old school electric chair on display.

One thing good about this museum was you could take photographs throughout the museum. I took a lot of pictures that will jog my memory when I decide to do additional research.

The museum was short lived and we were hungry. I researched a place called Carson's Kitchen, the next place on the agenda.
