Red Sox Tour

Red Sox Tour

After taking a short nap we went to the Fenway Park tour. Good thing I bought the tour tickets a month before because it was sold out. The meeting place for the tour was at the Red Sox Store across Fenway Park. Since the group was so large, we split into two groups. Getting in was nuts. There was over 200 of us and we had to squeeze into lines to get through security. That took over 10 minutes.

Fenway Park is awesome and I recommend that a baseball fan go to the field at least once in their lifetime. Seeing everything in person is quite unique.

The chairs are from 1934 and a tight squeeze

The field is small, but the green monster is tall

The angles of the park are one of a kind, you can feel the nostalgia when viewing from the different areas around the park

We walked quite a bit, around the entire park up and down many steps. The history came to life. One cool part is the Boston Farms garden. Our tour guide said they produce over 6000 pounds of food a year for the park. Of course the best part was the green monster. The view from the top was outstanding.

All in all, I think it was a good start to the trip. Fenway Park was the center of our experience, so it was good we got close and personal to it right away.
