War Memorials
War Memorials
We visited three war memorials 1) Vietnam 2) Korean 3) Iwo Jima. We all should respect all the people who served and died for our country. One of our chaperones, Alonzo served in Vietnam. My dad also served in Vietnam, so did my grandfather. What we would come to find out was that many of our student’s grandfathers or uncles served in Vietnam.

Here are some pictures of the memorials. My favorite is the Korean Memorial because the statues are life like and show so much emotion. The statues are set up in some type of formation and no matter where you stand within the memorial, any one of the statues are looking straight at you. The statues show much emotion, mainly fear and focus. There is also a wall. The faces etched on the wall show a life like emotion, one that sends chills down your spine.
