Hope Diamond
At the Smithsonian Natural History museum on the second floor is the Hope Diamond. There’s a ton of history behind this diamond and the story is displayed to the left of the exhibit.
I do know that it was in the hands of Louis XIV and then transferred between hands many times before it got to the United States. It is the main attraction at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural Science. The diamond is on this rotating apparatus surrounded by a 360 degree viewing glass case. It rotates to every side by some type of electronic contraption. It is difficult to get a nice picture because of the low light and reflecting glass. Not sure how much it would cost, but it’s a phat blue diamond.
