Sea World
Sea World is known for Shamu, a highly trained killer whale. There's actually more than one killer whale I'd come to find out. The show is probably the most popular event in the park. They also have this beer garden which peaked my interest. Joining us today was Aunty Gayle.
Before the Shamu Show, we had a chance to see the water tank where Shamu swims. There are stairs that go underground and customers can see the whale swim. It actually looks intimidating mainly because the whales can swim so fast and appear so aggressive. Imagine trying to go toe to toe against a killer whale in the ocean. Talk about automatic. It is also amazing how trainers can teach these whales so many tricks. I mean theoretically it can be done. Killer Whales have a high level of intelligence, so it isn't out of the realm of possibility.
Sea World had one cool roller coaster ride. It was a hybird roller coaster called Atlantis that went both in the water and on tracks. We decided to do that one last because we feared it would get us wet. We didn't want to get wet early in the day.
