Shelterville

Uncle Tino and D drove us a long way to a place called Shelterville. We supposedly have a house there. To my recollection, Shelterville was way pass Quezon City. From what I know, Quezon City is the biggest city in Manila. Going through this big city was nuts. I saw things there that probably I would never see again…

The drive to Shelterville was uneventful for the most part. Even the house visit wasn’t too inspiring as no one has lived there in a while and it appeared a little run down. There is however some okra growing in the front yard which was cool.

The best thing about this place was up the road where our Aunty Wilse Sister lived. It was great to meet Aunty Wilse Sister, her name was Aunty Minnete. However, the surprise was the food. The maid there made top notch Filipino food. This food was authentic. Palabok, Pancit, Lumpia all in its purest form made by fresh ingredients from organic country products. That’s the real deal! We were kind of full already haven eaten at McDonald’s, but who could pass up an opportunity like this.
