Food on Maui

Trying to get ready for the race, I tried to eat healthy. Michelle said I wasn't eating enough, but I knew if I didn't eat healthy I would pay the price.

Cool Cat Cafe

Tucked away in Lahaina, they consider themselves the best burger in Maui. Burger was good. I just had a salad since I was eating healthy. But I also had a beer. The beer was really good ~ Lokahi Pilsner. Loud atmosphere and tourist like, but overall it was good.

Leoda's

Leoda's in Olowalu is said to have the best pies on the islands. From the road it looks like a dive. But they seem to serve good food. We just bought the pies. The girl at customer service was really nice and friendly. Pies were expensive. Those two little pies you see were $18. But it was worth it.

Ulupalakua Ranch

Ulupalakua Ranch was a good experience. It was out of the way in East Haleakala. They served good food. Malia thought her short ribs had too much fat. Michelle ate a burger and said it was just ok.

Star Noodle

Little pricy for the serving size. Star Noodle is considered one of the top restaurants in Maui. Located in an industrial area, it is packed even with the restaurant so out of the way. Lots of local people go to this restaurant. It feels like a restaurant on Oahu. Their signature dish, these pork buns was a hit.

Krispy Kreme

How could you go to Maui and not get Krispy Kreme doughnut? Location is prime right near the airport. They have boxes that are perfect in size so you can take it on the plane. The doughnuts are bad for you. The last glutton experience before you leave. They make the doughnuts right there. Damn, I ain't lying that the doughnuts are unhealthy feels like you are ingesting a load of sugar and oil.

Ali'i Lavender Farm

We at this $3.50 scone at the lavender farm. It was bland, but the lavender honey was out of this world also the lilikoi jelly was amazing.
