Basang

Basang Cold Spring - September 24, 2017

We had two days of free time after the funeral. One choice was to go to Boracay, but after waking up late, we decided to go to Basang. Last time we were here, we didn't go swimming, not sure why.

Today is was packed. There are two pools and we wanted to go to the one further up. What King figured was that each pool had its own spring. There was a main spring where the waterfall cascades. I guess it fills up the pool. With the recent rains from monsoon season, the color of the water was somewhat dark, not that teal green we saw last time.

Aunty Lolit brought a spread of food. They even brought food to grill. Nothing like bangus on the grill. After I gathered enough courage, I took off my shirt and jumped into the water to join King and the kids. Kikito followed. We hung out for about 1 hour. I had to get a workout in because I didn't do any cardio for what seemed like a week, but it must have only been a few days.

The water was very cold, I didn't expect it to be warm because it was spring water. You figure that your body would get used to it, but it doesn't. It felt like it got colder and colder.
