Belgium

Belgium is one of the countries in the European Union. After being there, the country speaks primarily Dutch as it was apparent when we went shopping in Bruge, Antwerp, Ghent, and Brussels. However, many people speak French, especially in the southern part of Belgium near the French border. With that being said, almost everyone in the country can speak English.

Belgium is known for its chocolate, waffles and beer. The main cities have those for you in mass. I do agree that their chocolate is the best chocolate I've ever eaten. The waffles are good. The beer is interesting. I will eventually do a whole write up on Belgium beer. In my opinion, they overdo the beer, there are so many varieties and to categorize it is a little difficult to do. This is in contrast to the Germans who have a lot of variety to, but they are able to categorize it in a simple manner.

Out of the 4 main cities we went do, there seems to be varying opinion on what city is the best. Each one offers its own unique stamp and it really is up to the tourist to figure out what best city fits them. Our opinion was that Ghent was the best. But some people think Burge is better, or Brussels is better.
