Fondue

Fondue

Our last day in Switzerland. I wanted to eat Fondue in a fancy place. But it was raining heavily and with Michelle's torn MCL, we were weary of going far. We made the decision to stay at the Zürich Train Station for 6 hours.

Since it was noon, we wanted to eat. For our last day, I wanted to eat Fondue. Switzerland is known for their amazing fondue especially during the holiday season. Melted cheese, wine, garlic and other spices melted in a pot. So unhealthy and so wrong, but so good. It took us a while to find a fondue restaurant. The first restaurant we went to did not have fondue until evening. Low and behold, the only good place to get fondue was up the stairs on the second floor of a make shift restaurant. The restaurant was called Chäs Atelier. With Michelle's leg, me carrying a 30 lbs suitcase it was a tough walk up to the 2nd floor.

Again, Switzerland and their prices. It was 25 CHF per person. We were looking at 100 CHF for fondue and raclette. I figured what the hell, we are here and want the experience. It was a good experience. A hot pot with a pot of melted cheese and a raclette machine with baby potatoes. I made sure everyone ate every last morsel of food. Below are some pictures of the event. Also a great view of the Zurich train station.

That was our last meal in Switzerland. It was fun and memorable.
