Greece

November 24-28, 2021

Our 19th wedding anniversary was around the corner and I promised Michelle a trip to Greece at the start of our expat experience. With getting acclimated Germany, COVID, my new job and a plethora of other situations happening our three years in Europe is almost over. We still haven't been able to take a couples retreat (well, we did go to Lake Constance, but I guess that doesn't count). I'm going to make it count. Off to Greece we go!

Germany's COVID cases are on the rise and now it becomes difficult to plan anything as the rules change from day to day, minute to minute. Before we left for Greece, Germany became Red, but not a variant risk which meant that we could travel to Greece and not quarantine. Michelle always does a great job keeping up with the news. I, on the other hand don't let the news dictate my actions, but in this case I had to because it would have impacted our trip.

Our itinerary was go to Athens for a day and spend 3 days in Santorini.
