Refugees from Afghanistan

August 24-27, 2021

Joe Biden withdrew Americans from Afghanistan with no real plan, this led to a refugee crisis at the Kabul Airport. Tens of thousands of refugees had to wait days to get into the airport. They suffered starving, heat exhaustion, etc. Since the Afghan refugees were boarded on C17s which isn't ideal passenger planes, the US military decided to have a pit stop in Ramstein, Germany so the Afghan refugees could get proper care.

Michelle jumped at the opportunity to help the Afghan refugees. The refugees would be housed in military hangars not so ideal because its cold right now in Germany in August. They needed a lot of donation of blankets so the refugees could stay warm. I donated what I could. Michelle helped out through an interpreter who made it out of Afghanistan. He owns a small shop in Texas. The interpreter helped Michelle with the communication. As you can see from the pictures, Michelle was helping out in one hangar, there were so many more. Many military from bases all across Germany had to make the drive to Ramstein.

I'm so proud of Michelle for trying her best. She had to work almost 60 hours during this week and she was exhausted by Friday.
