Apple Picking

We wanted to go apple picking. But we didn't have a plan to go about this. Michelle did a lot of calling around. There was a place up north that allowed us to go apple picking. They were closed for the day, but said we could visit the premises and wouldn't get into trouble. The drive was about 1 1/2 hours north.

We entered Greenspot Farms. It was so cool to see apples growing on trees. In Hawaii, apples don't really grow, since it has to be cold weather. The farm was also producing oranges. We walked around the farm visiting the animals and picking fruits. I was impressed by the domineering mountains in the background. Let me tell you a first hand account that there is nothing fresher than eating an apple or an orange off the tree. The flavor is so fresh, its like a concentrated extract of the fruit. Its really amazing!!!

After the farm, we drove to a place 20 minutes away called Oak Glen. This place is known for their apples products. We went to a restaurant and had the best apple products I've had the pleasure of tasting. We drove around the entire place, it was raining and cold, about 50 degrees.

Apple picking was excellent. It added another dynamic event to the trip.
